CLINIC: Thanks for calling Planned Parenthood of Ventura this is Isabella. How can I help you?
CALLER: Hi. Yeah. I was calling to see if you guys do abortions there?
CLINIC: Yes, we do.
CALLER: Oh. Well, do you know if you have to be like -- well, I'm going to be 14 later on this month and my friend told me you guys would have to tell my parents. But my boyfriend is 22. Is he old enough to take care of it and you wouldn't have to tell anybody?
CLINIC: Okay, when you come in for services here all our services are confidential. We wouldn't need to include your parents or your boyfriend.
CALLER: Okay. It's just my boyfriend -- we were all talking about this and he said that he would pay for everything, but would he have to --
CLINIC: That's fine, but he doesn't -- he has no involvement. I mean, you'll be the patient.
CALLER: Okay. How much is it going to cost?
CLINIC: It runs anywhere from $350 to $475.
CALLER: Okay. It's just, the thing is I haven't had my period since like December 26, and that's the main reason why I'm wondering about all this.
CLINIC: Okay. Well, you can come in for a pregnancy test on Tuesday between 4 and 6 and they'll explain, they'll do a pregnancy test and then explain your options and if you decide to terminate they'll explain the procedure to you.
CALLER: Okay. So if the pregnancy test came out that I wasn't pregnant I could get birth control there?
CLINIC: Yes, you can.
CALLER: Okay.
CLINIC: But not on that time slot. Okay?
CALLER: Okay.
CLINIC: So why don't you come in between 4 and 6, and then if everything's good then we can make you an appointment for that same week to come in for birth control.
CALLER: Okay. But would anyone have to know if I was on birth control though?
CLINIC: All information is confidential. The only way they would know is if they went through your stuff. They call us, we can't say anything.
CALLER: Okay. You want me to come in at 4?
CLINIC: It's best if you come in at 4.
CALLER: Okay. I have to call my boyfriend to see, but is it all right if he comes with me?
CLINIC: That's fine.
CALLER: Okay. I wouldn't have any other way to get there. All right. Thank you.
CLINIC: All right then. Bye bye.
