CLINIC: Euclid Planned Parenthood.
CALLER: Hi. I was wondering if you guys do abortions there.
CLINIC: No, we don't. Would you like me to give you the number of the clinic that does?
CALLER: Okay.
CLINIC: It's in Mission Valley. And the phone number is 683?7538.
CALLER: Okay. My friend told me that ?? I'm just really scared, because my friend told me that since I'll be 14 in March. And she said that you guys would have to tell my parents. But my boyfriend's 22. Could he just sign whatever, and you wouldn't have to tell anybody?
CLINIC: No. He would not be able to sign for anything. But everything is confidential. Your age doesn't matter.
CALLER: Oh, okay.
CLINIC: So you will be signing for yourself.
CALLER: Okay. So nobody would have to know?
CLINIC: No. Everything is confidential. Okay?
CALLER: Well, would anybody have to know about my boyfriend or anything?
CLINIC: No, no. You don't have to give them any information regarding that. They're going to counsel you, they're going to talk to you, and they're going to want to make sure that you're making the right decision.
CALLER: Me and my boyfriend have really talked about this.
CLINIC: Right. Yeah, you can call them, and most likely they're going to want you to do a pregnancy test. And then you can come to any one of the clinics.
CALLER: Could I come there for a pregnancy test?
CLINIC: Yes, today until 5:00, actually 5:30.
CALLER: If it turned out that I wasn't pregnant, could I get birth control there then?
CLINIC: Yeah, that's fine.
CALLER: Would you have to tell anybody about that though?
CLINIC: No.
CALLER: Well, how much does that cost?
CLINIC: You qualify for our state funding program. They will pay for you to have birth control.
CALLER: Oh. But I don't have any income. I don't have a job or anything.
CLINIC: That's fine. That's okay.
CALLER: All right.
CLINIC: Okay?
CALLER: Well, if I think of any other questions, could I call you? What's your name?
CLINIC: Leddy (?).
CALLER: Okay.
CLINIC: Okay.
CALLER: Thanks.
CLINIC: Bye.
CALLER: Bye.
